Interspecific Differences of Stem Diameter Variations in Response to Water Conditions for Six Tree Species in Northeast China

It is important to understand the response of stem diameter variations in dominant tree species water conditions Northeast China. The results will provide basic information for scientific predictions future development trend temperate forests eastern mountainous area northeast We employed a high-precision dendrometer continuously monitor radial changes six China from 15 April 24 October 2021. Precipitation significantly promoted increment. increment Juglans mandshurica Maxim., Quercus mongolica Fisch. and Betula platyphylla Suk. had positive correlation with cumulative precipitation. Correlation analysis revealed that change (SRC) was positively correlated precipitation (Pre) relative humidity (RH), negatively vapor pressure deficit (VPD), indicating growth mainly restricted by conditions. Under drought stress, rate slowed down, duration decreased (TWD) value increased, while there were obvious interspecific differences. Therefore, limited species, each different stress.
